295-18.5= 276.5 total,

divided by the 17 hours = 16.2 K per hour average.

On the whole divert thing, we usually have 4 ETOPS alternates, last night they were;

Windhook, Sal Isalnd, Ascention Island, and San Jaun.

We do get a lot of sick people inflight, but we have med kits and they page for a doctor, it all works out, but I'm not going to risk killing myself and 269 pax, for -one- sick person.

Sometimes you've just gotta let them go.
