I appreciate the sympathetic response. I was a faip about 11 years ago, then flew fast movers in the war and am currently in the reserves flying strat air while on furlough from my company (NetJets). I ask about UAV because I may have a shot at an AGR position closer to home flying UAV's. My concern is that if NJA goes tits up and I'm in the AGR position, I wont have any recency. If for whatever reason I can't retire from the AGR position I'm screwed and will have to find a probably poor paying gig to get some hours before reapplying to the better paying jobs. I know, potentially good problem to have, but I'm weighing all my options before making a decision. The experience of anyone who has faced a similar problem is greatly appreciated.
Based on what I'm reading, hearing from associates, etc... I'd say that getting some RPA stink on you may open some very lucrative doors for you in the civilian sector of RPA ops.
