These folks deserve our support. They are fighting outsourcing and demanding that their jobs remain in house rather than outsourced to the lowest bidder. This is such a slippery slope that many have gone down before and we all know where the path leads. They are much higher paid than most of their peers for a reason, they do a great job. In general, we have the most conscientious ground staff that I have ever worked with. I have seen what farming out these jobs to the lowest bidder does to the final product, and it is not pretty. I hope they hold strong and win this fight.
Good luck, but when the choice becomes a quality product or doing it cheaper, who do ya think will win? This is a canary in the coal mine for you folks and you need to back them up. Doesn't Southwest outsource their heavy maintenance already, I mean like off shore????
