Never had a problem getting meals sent to the airplane because the UAL side has done this for the 35 years I've been employed there.
Oh and having been though the "harmonization" process in the 756 fleet last year any CAL Capt who says they don't have enough time to brief the FAs and about the required crew meals and show up at ops 1 hour before push is quite frankly... (fill in the blank).
