Exactly! This whole wide-body focused argument by some LUAL pilots is ignoring this basic fact. What difference does it make if you're flying a 747 or a Cessna 172 if the 172 pays more than the 747! Look at the regionals that fly 70 seat airplanes for essentially the same as other pilots get paid to fly a 50 seater. Category of airplane is pretty meaningless without the big picture of compensation.
Of course, according to the UAL MEC "prestige" of flying a 747 should count for something. The regionals have SJS, while these guys apparently have BJS.
