I think you're making this more complicated than necessary. If the pilot was in the original group of 2172, she/he was offered recall and either accepted or gave up their seniority number (obvious exceptions exist ... eg mil leave). Any subsequent furloughees in the later group of 1437 would not have the seniority to hold capt at CAL. So -- if there is a ual pilot at cal that has capt seniority AND a ual seniority number I'd be very surprised. If I'm missing something I'm sure you'll provide the details.
