If the pilot was in the original group of 2172, she/he was offered recall and either accepted or gave up their seniority number (obvious exceptions exist ... eg mil leave). Any subsequent furloughees in the later group of 1437 would not have the seniority to hold capt at CAL. So -- if there is a ual pilot at cal that has capt seniority AND a ual seniority number I'd be very surprised. If I'm missing something I'm sure you'll provide the details.

You might want to check with your merger committee, they did resign their seniority at L-UAL and are part of the 2172. They are holding CA and very sr widebody FO. Your merger committee is not happy about this...
This guy has no idea what the UAL merger team thinks. He actually knows little about the cal position. Look at my last post. That is the position of the UAL merger team. Not complicated at all.
