Jetblue is not immured like no other airline is either.
Airline management is out for themselves (Jetblue too), and the stock holders certainly not the employees and especially not the pilots. Jetblue pilots deserve no less than any other pilot group. Stop drinking the cool aid organize and help us take back our profession through pattern bargaining.
ALPA is going to be a different union. Our new Communications Chairman (CAL ALPA) is going to spend some time with the Jetblue pilots (flew for you guys until last year while on furlough and a subsequent leave of absence) discussing the advantages of ALPA. Even if you don't go ALPA organize for your own good, and the good of your fellow professional aviators.
My friend the G-man has nothing but the best intentions for our company and the business and has nothing but bad experiences with ALPA. You say ALPA is "going to be a different union". Well, as they say, money talks and B.S. walks. ALPA has a LOT of kissing up to do to former members before they will ever be welcome here. I don't disupute the fact that a union is most likely inevitable here. We're one of the few companies without one. A union built from within, no matter how long it takes, will be much more successful than a union for which there is so much animosity.
