PB days are more valuable than a vacation day, so keep that in mind. With a 1 day trip for a lineholder being worth a min of 5:15, it's probably better to use them that way, than take it as vacation @ 3:15/day.
Also, in the past I've used them to break up RSV stretches. The best way is to place a PB day (if coverage allows) on day 3 of 5. Then you have 2 on, 1 off, 2 on. Your chances of flying (or getting SC) in the 1 & 2 day group are lower than the 3, 4, 5 groups - so if you do it right you can get a "week off" (with a little seniority & help from whiteslipping REG pilots) for 1 PB day. Have fun!

Also, just for scenario's sake, let's say you have one PB day and you have a 4 day trip that you don't like. You can put the PB day on day one of the trip and drop the whole trip. In that case you get paid the credit for the day you dropped, and you can WS or GS on the other three days of the trip if you are trying to maximize the cash. Or you can just put the PB day on the highest credit day of the 4 day and enjoy the 4 days off.
