So the question is, are politicos voting on principle now?
In my opinion, and based on my experiences, politicos hardly ever vote on principle...and, I'm including both parties here. There are some...but the longer you drink from the govt fountain the less you really care about principle.

As for defending our profession, anybody else just read the ALPA national update about sequestration and FAA furloughs? Departures in LAX will be reduced by 40% if allowed to occur next week. ALPA IS supporting the resolution by Sen Roy Blunt (R), MO which would prevent the FAA and DOT from reducing service.

Interesting.
