As much I might complain, I prefer that kind of flying to going to DFW, Philly and Atlanta all day, but I am in the minority according to my buddies with whom I stay in touch and drink beer.
I'm going to take a guess that there is a "didn't" missing in that comment since I frequently get asked by new acquaintances if I am a "commercial" pilot or if I fly freight, i.e. a "real pilot" versus a freight dog.
I get that quite often when saying that I worked for a smaller company that flew both passengers and freight using B-727, B-737, A-320, B-757, B-767, DC-10 and A-330 aircraft over the years. "So, would you ever consider flying commercially?" I just politely explain that it is all commercial.
