I am fortunate enough to consider money to not be an issue due to scholarships. Please consider that in your advice. That still means I would like to get a useful degree, and I don't know if aviation is a useful degree.

1. Indiana State University - get all of my ratings and instruct for the school in the four years I am there - gain an aviation degree
2. Indiana University - gain a business degree, most likely accounting, go for my CPA, then fly after I get my degree. I would probably go the ATP, AF, or mom and pop flight route
3. Embry Riddle - same circumstances as Indiana State

Any advice would be much appreciated.
Young man. "The best route to becoming an airline pilot" has NOTHING to do where you go to school. Type of degree doesn't matter either. In fact, your route to becoming an airline pilot won't be molded until late into your twenties, and early thirties. It will depend on the jobs you choose, and the people you meet.
