The E-190 smacks a bit of having the Fokker (F-100) on the property. Pilots loved it, management hated it because the yields sucked and the operating costs were high. And the jets were constantly weight-restricted for the flying management wanted to do with them. Although maybe the 190 will be better in this regard.
I think it's going to be hard to get the pay rates up on them, and we'll see an airline subset form... E-190 vs. everybody else. And E-190 CA jobs will go junior relative to many FO jobs.
