I haven't figured it out yet, either. I've got somewhere around 400 CDs. My 64 gb iPad can't come close to holding that plus all the other music I've downloaded over the years.
I bought a 1.5TB external drive at (I think) Wally World... Works good, lasts long time, and holds a LOT of music...
