The trade in has already been negotiated in the new CPA Skywest Inc got when they bought ExpressJet in 2010. First right of refusal on 75 replacements and 15 growth aircraft.

They don't give these aircraft away. They either lease them to the regional or just have a lower reimburse rate for operating the aircraft on their behalf.
