Just because there is no growth doesn't mean things are bad. Growth is an added bonus, a privilege that makes a good job even better, not something to be expected. If you don't get any growth well then that is the normal status quo and any unexpected growth is just added icing on the cake. Growth on the Q would be at the cost of a fellow pilot getting furloughed at another airline anyways. Contraction and getting furloughed is bad not staying stagnant. But staying stagnant is not possible since there will always be attrition movement as FO's leave before upgrade to move up to majors, expat, cargo, etc.
Maybe if you had just accepted the contract that was offered about 5 years ago the pay wouldn't be at 2003 but 2008 pay and just now the process of negotiating a new contract would begin.
