What he was referring was what Delta did and United is following. Exchange 50 seaters for 76 seaters at a ratio, with a loss of not only total airframes but also a loss of seats to the regional level while shifting flying to mainline with a small NB. Delta is shifting around 12% of the domestic flying to mainline in the next 2 years.
