More critical, is the rate reset for the Delta CR2 fleet that comes in December 2014. We will have to match Pinnacle's rates or else. Reference every single BH update about how we're cutting cost but have a "long" way to go.
Oh, and Delta has told Pinnacle they won't be losing all their CR2s since they "played ball". Coincidence? I tell ya what, they not paying RA $7 mil for nothing. House of Cards.... The Airline Version
I'm curious where you heard all of these CRJ's leave in 2014 & 2015. Yes, 66 need to leave but I believe 11 went to Dallas, 12 went to LAX, 14 leave Atlanta to the desert by December, and the rest come from SkyWest. Our next contract is up in 2015 and is the IAD flying. After that our Delta contracts go until 2020 or later. If we lose anymore it will be because of performance breaking the contract (possible this summer) or we agree to a 2 for one type deal.
I've always believed in the rate reset but called a rep last week to ask some questions about negotiations etc. He said that is just a rumor and scare tactic. Not sure if I believe him.
As of last week Pinnacle will have no CR2's. where did you hear this? I'm guessing a crew room rumor.
Combined with SKYW 29 CR2s will need to be returned by 2015 and I don't know the exact numbers but all 29 won't be just from the Skywest side.
The rate reset is no rumor or scare tactic. It's real and written in Inc's 10-K. Come Dec. 2014 Expressjet will be paid the 2nd lowest rate amoung DCI carriers or they can opt out of the contract.
As far as the PNCL keeping some of their 200s, I understand it was told to the pilot group from management, which now happens to be Delta
