I understand the game being played but it's ironic to me that you operate the 170/175 and hence your company will not be affected by any type of ratio that would be put in place. So in essence, any type of shrinkage at the regional level will not be felt by you or your company.
What is ironic is that I'm on my third regional in a year because of my previous airlines losing airframes and going bankrupt. When I made my move over here I took into account the risk of 50 seat jets. And even while I'm safe now, even if I wasn't I would still be glad mainline is taking back the flying. I believe all of Chautauqua will be parked within the short term. But I don't claim to be an expert, much less know the future. I do hope to see a reduction in regionals period.
