Speculation is unprofessional and pointless. We don't know what occurred. We only know the results.

The video is in the public domain and won't go away. We see crashes and death and destruction on the news, on youtube, and all manner of other places, all the time. This video is among them.

There's no evidence of superior airmanship in the video. A loss of control in an unfortunate and tragic mishap is what we see.

Those of us who have flown that mission in that place in that aircraft on a daily basis identify deeply with those who are lost, as well as feel the event on a personal level. The same is true for those who knew those who were lost, as well as those who for any number of other reasons are affected. I dare say that most are affected by the event in some way.

For those of us who have been there and done that, the undeniable truth that any one of us could have been on board is persistent and very real; the fact that it could be any of us today or tomorrow is also true, and its only natural that many will be anxious for an answer. We want to know what caused the event because it may affect us too. The answers will come in time, but until they do, speculation benefits us very little beyond talking it out, and the self-consolation that may come with.
