Blah, blah, blah. I've been telling you for a year that you have no idea what back room deal SkyWest Inc signed with United, and you keep parroting about "your" "First Right Of Refusal". Well now it seems "your" 70 seat opportunities are going elsewhere, yet your EMBs are still expiring. This is a big order. Do you really believe UAL will turn around next week and order 30 more for you? Please. This is it. You missed the boat.
The only good thing to come out of this, is maybe management's gross incompetence in losing this bid will cause them to miss the 1 year deadline to place 70 seat aircraft at XJT, and thus negate your massively concessionary arbitration award. I was certain that these planes were going to L-XJT. I'm shocked they're not, and now, it's anybody's ball game... except yours.
More dense than I thought. Inc still has the first right of refusal. These aircraft are not replacing XJT's 145s. BH mentioned on the conference call that 14 145 leases had expired an were extended. Replacement sometime next year. UAL's order for these 30 aircraft included 40 options. UAL's scope allows up to 153 76 seaters starting Jan 1. You honestly believe UAL will stop with 30? Come on, you can't possibly be this dense! Really, was is it about any of this that doesn't make sense to you?
Anyway, the deadline can always be extended.
