Lots of Pinnacle (or OAL)pilots have friends, and tons have relatives, at a major, either on the hiring board or with an influence, who they could easily call up and say "I heard Bill is applying/interviewing at your airline. He is a donkey butt I wouldn't hire him." Trust me I've done it before and it worked.
