Not true. That's how my friend got his application looked at 7 years ago. Their online application and review process leaves a lot of guys in the dark. I wrote him a refferal, he picked up the phone, called, the lady pulled up his application, and he was offered an interview 4 days later and in class 14 days after the interview. So 18 days after he called he was sitting in class.

I was happy because they paid me my finders fee. He is now a Captain here. So your scenario doesn't always play out the way you say. If anything, it shows initiative. Especially that someone is that eager to come work for $20,000 a year
