I see ALPA negotiated a side letter allowing them to install video screens in pilot lounges to "keep us updated."
ALPA guys here are fond of lecturing us about how they must always give up something to get something in negotiations.
So what did we "give up" for that gem? (In addition to several thousand dollars of dues money spent on network and video equipment.)
I'd rather ALPA bought the TVs and then had a drawing to give them away. At least then the TVs would be watched.
Hint to ALPA: If what you're negotiating for doesn't give us a higher QOL, more money, and more time off...stop wasting our time and money.
Negotiating to spend our money on TVs to broadcast the company's talking points clearly misses on all three.
