Because he is NOT working as a LUAL pilot! He has been laid off!!! He is furloughed!!! His Cat/Status= NOTHING, because he is has been furloughed (fancy word for laid off). Imagine this: Suzie has worked for Monkey Airways for 10 years but was laid off. You have worked for Chump Airways for 5 years and have upgraded in the past year with 1000 pilots below you. Should Suzie be called back and placed ahead of YOU because Monkey and Chump have merged into Monkey Chump Air?

Seriously though, 3 years ago I couldn't find ONE UAL pilot that was happy with the direction of their airline. Every single one of them were begging for CAL to merge with them so they could get our "good" mgt. All of a sudden UAL was the best thing since sliced bread that saved a dying "little airline". SMH
