Thats the difference between those pilots who are playing checkers versus those pilots who are playing chess. You sound like a pilot playing checkers, believing that a degree doesn't mean squat, and probably not furthering yourself. Those pilots playing chess have degrees in good fields, are learning and/or working towards a masters, and if they want some day they can advance to something more than just a line pilot. For example, it opens up opprtunities in management while still getting to fly once in a while.
