I know Southwest doesn't have quite as senior pilot group as the others, but still curious about the upgrade time. If a younger fella, say 30, got hired in the next few years, what estimate would the upgrade be? Im assuming 15yr plus?
SWA does not retire 50% of their pilots in the next 20 years so barring massive growth I'd say a new hire today is looking at a 20+ year upgrade. I'm showing about 3,600 age 65 retirements between now and 2030 from a combined list of 8,000. Does anyone have any better numbers or know where to look on SWAPA.ORG?
