Do you really think the pilots of any airline decide the direction the airline will take. Never have and never will.
If you look at Jeff's United you see a brown shoe in a room full of tuxedoes. No comparison to either American or Delta. We are being outclassed by their management and there is nothing the pilots of UAL or cal can do collectively to change that.
