Granted, most jfK lines are reserve anyway, but I never put too much faith in getting to fly what I was awarded. Bid the days off you want. After that, bid international stuff or R2 in NRT. Don't sweat timing out - the instructors are sympathetic. Guy in my class took 4 PCs over 8 months before setting foot in the airplane.
