Believe me, I get it. It's still top-down directed by people who don't understand what's going on - never forget that 90% of the AF is not flying.
They are unwilling (or were) to work with the operators to devise a solution.
As much as I'd hate to see yet another empire, they should've gone with an Android platform so they could build another PFPS-style empire for development and not been beholden to the blessing of the half-eaten fruit cult. With the iPad selection, they virtually guaranteed to slow their spiral development timeline by double....
