Meh, my world turns either way. I'm sure regional guys roll their eyes on the occasion that someone flying bigger equipment condescends to them. (I'm not saying all heavy iron pilots are like that).
It seems many true feelings are spoken in jest. I just don't know where these feelings of superiority come from. I respect pilots of all types-each has their own challenges to meet. I'm not trying to accuse anyone in this particular thread. However, as a small example, it has been discussed on the forums how some pilots of bigger RJs dub themselves to be "better pilots" or mysteriously now "mainline." ???
But, yes, it can be nice to not have to worry about the other guy's personality. Though I will say the single pilot stuff can be kind of lonely or boring!
