So let me get this straight - bumping priority 3 jumpseaters has the potential of diminishing the level of cockpit safety, and the captain's explanation must be compelling, and is only valid if an emergency situation exists, or by the presence of these crew members is not in the best interest of aviation safety? Well, since he goes to say that UPS is committed to maintaining the highest level of safety, security, and regulatory compliance, this rational would lead me to believe all flights without them are less safe and should not leave without an additional crewmember to enhance the level of "safety" to the highest which we are committed to!

This guy is so stunningly full of bull**** I am in awe. Again, the perfect "ready, fire, aim" approach management chooses to take at UPS. Attempting to coerce professionals by enforcing "safety" is pretty ignorant considering the HUGE potential on how this could backfire. Their level arrogance has again equaled their level of ignorance.
