So, can some one back me up on this...?

From what it sounds like:

The 145's and 200's are getting old. Carrying tons of MEL's as well as CPA's that are going to expire sooner then later.

XJT has no such airplanes to replace them (i.e 175's or CR7-9's)... According to the company because there is no contract, so XJT couldn't make an offer.

XJT is opening up new bases in IAD, DEN, and MCI. But those are just long over due for routes the company already had.

ExpressJet is hiring, but supposedly can't fill the classes... Rumor has it of the last group of 48, only 30 or so showed up...

Finally, and this is the latest RUMOR. Supposedly the company has gone to United and asked them to NOT hire from XJT, knowing that they can't keep the airline staffed for the summer flying.

This is my limited understanding of what is going on... Does anyone have anything to add? To me it sounds like its gonna get pretty rough and stagnant at Express.
