Their contract did not preclude that scenario IIRC, plus the buyer intended to use different airplanes all along...essentially midwest was shutdown and then re-incarnated as a brand operated by RAH (and then merged into F9, coincidentally). I think the YX pilots eventually got onto the RAH list?
Hopefully F9 has better scope. Even most regionals have scope specifying that the pilots go with the airline.
