I agree with this BUT it could be like my job where I came out of the simulator as a fully qualified SP PIC, but it took me a little over 1 year to be a mission qualified PIC - assigned on the itinerary and logging the type of PIC time that airlines want to see on the resume, though I could have been logging FAR type of PIC on all legs flown in the left seat (sole manipulator).

I am unfamiliar with the PIC qualification of L3 for the King Airs so I only point out the possibility of not logging ME TPIC right out of the batting cage.
