Nice dude. im going to Utah state university right now. came in with my private....in the fall. had to do an intermediate course for most of fall semester (time building for commercial) .
then weather rolled in and i didn't start instrument 3 months later (march). So i didn't fly for over a month and half..almost two months actually. This is when i came back after Winter Break because of an inversion and an icing airmet, which diamond prohibits flight in known/predicted icing... (we fly DA40s) now i'm waiting for my check ride in a few days. All in all...Don't get an aviation degree...i wasted SO much time waiting to fly. i only took 3 classes to make room for flying, and i barely even got to use those days....i honestly feel like i've gotten dumber...i'm going home to get my CFI at a regular flight school once i get this instrument, commercial and multi out of the way, then never go back to UT and dealing with the possibility of the same thing happening again. Going to get a degree in business or something and start my OWN charter/airline....
