If you are referring to the UAL pilots working at cal - I call it a smart move on the part of the company and the 2 pilot groups. The company gets a well qualified group of pilots to pull from. Those guys that need the job have one at the parent company. And to be honest it was a smart move in the right direction for the cal pilots until the cal pilots through their elected reps choose to attempt to back-stab the same pilots by stapling them to the bottom of the seniority list.
Day one UAL pilots offered an olive branch and was prepared to join the CAL pilots to insure the merger benefited all. It's unfortunate that the cal leadership took this to be a weakness and has tried to take advantage instead of working with your ALPA brothers. Are you a scab for thinking this way? NO - It does show a SCAB MENTALITY.
