Exclusion is never a very good idea in the business world. There's a very easy way to lose your user base and that is simply by removing choice and forcing them on your own terms. How about you guys just install the plugin and let your users decide which experience they would rather use. Judging by your iTunes reviews I doubt it would be ForumRunner or the dedicated app. Both are terrible.
