Ended up being offered the job but like your friend, they just rubbed me the wrong way so I turned it down. The Kool Aid was over the top for me. YMMV
I had entirely the opposite experience with my Skywest interview. I had interviewed at a few other regionals and felt like some of the other ones rubbed me the wrong way. Most of them wouldn't even tell me whether I did good or bad or what I could improve on. I left the Skywest interview feeling confidant. I liked the people on the interview team. They did an amazing job keeping the applicants calm and making small talk, and they gave us a nice debrief about things we did well or did poorly on and gave us a good idea about whether we would get the job or not.
Sorry you had a bad experience. Maybe one of the interviewers was having a bad day. I thought the interview team was awesome when I was there.
