What is it with scabs and lowering fuel? Company man?
We had a scab B767 (c)APTAIN in the early '90s lower the gas on a FRA-ORD flight. long story short, after a complete wind bust(165+mph headwinds), the scab was forced by both copilots to make an emergency fuel stop into DTW with the bunkie holding the crash axe over the his head.
Later on different day the same scab, this time flying with a very rusty not line oriented instructor pilot, landed at the wrong airport in San Juan. That incident got him early retirement. Story has it that the scab wanted to take off again and the copilot threaten physical harm to stop him. In order to get the B757 legal for take off, all pax and cargo and some fuel had to be Removed for a very short ferry out of Isla Grande airport.
