It will be interesting to watch. ALPA has an equal duty to it's members, each and every one. It is difficult to conceive of a union participating in a discriminatory process (which is what an interview is) without triggering claims that the union benefitted one member at the peril of another member.
I'm pretty surprised we've not seen more interest in this matter. Probably interest will peak when hiring starts. By then, it will be too late to do anything.
You can still be discriminatory to some degree though. Otherwise there has to be a 100% hire rate and no one could credibly argue that in any context. And even if you had that, you'd also have to have a 100% interview rate. And even then it would have to be 100% in seniority order. ALPA is currently pushing to allow FO's to keep doing what they do (walk arounds in the rain, taking the fat one, etc) with a 2nd class medical, but ALPA is not pushing to allow Captain's to fly with 2nd class medicals. Is that discriminatory?
