i get quite a laugh at listening to the pilots who hardly ever talk to a control tower, and they come on the radio "uh N1234AB over some houses uh yeah 5 thousand feet and wanting to land. oh yeah with info Alpha, to the east uh no west uh no north west of the airport" the controller's at my training airport have alot of patience with these guys, i really have to hand it to them. i think part of all training should involve extensive training with radio communication no matter what type of pilot you are. a missed call could mean an accident.
