Depends on how you quantify/measure it. Ask ANY pilot that went over on the COEX/CAL FTA and got to keep their RJ CA pay till the CAL pay caught up, as well as pass travel date. And when the crap hit the fan (9/11), they got to "flow down" back into the RJ CA seat, with their ORIGINAL seniority and pay, till the recall BACK to CAL came.
Sadly, some of them STILL b1chted about it. Must have been rough to get furloughed, go BACK to a better schedule than that of a legacy new hire, at the SAME pay rate, never mind STILL having a job with health insurance whilst many of your peers were on the street with NONE of that at other places.
I'd say that FTA worked out pretty good for them.
