Pinnacle Airlines changes name to Endeavor Air, will vote on new logo
June 4, 2013

Delta subsidiary Pinnacle Airlines announced it will change its name to Endeavor Air and has asked its employees to choose a new logo for the Minneapolis/St. Paul-based carrier.

Pinnacle President Ryan Gumm said in a memo to employees on Friday that Endeavor Air was chosen because it evokes an image of innovation, excitement and the adventure of a journey.

“Endeavor Air describes our mission to strive for excellence and captures not only the extraordinary efforts we’ve made, but also those that are still ahead of us. ‘To endeavor’ is to describe aviation from its very beginning,” Gumm said in the memo. “Endeavor Air represents the starting point for redefining our airline and from here we will blend the best of what we know with new ideas aimed at making Endeavor Air the best place to work in the regional industry.”

Pinnacle has completed its headquarters relocation employees to the Twin Cities late last week. Ryan and the leadership team hosted nearly 300 employees at a luncheon to celebrate their move to the new headquarters.

Gumm reflected on the milestones the group has achieved along the way. “We have had several mountains to climb but also a number of achievements to celebrate along the way -- we have a new headquarters location, new name, and new logo to launch.”

Pinnacle employees will start voting early this week and the unveiling of the new logo will occur June 26 during the Endeavor Air ribbon-cutting ceremony at Building C – Tower location in Minneapolis.

Separately last week the airline received the first of 40 CRJ-900 aircraft.
