I remember watching a documentary about the college bubble. The film crew went to some big name university and were looking at the plaques with names of students who graduated with a 4.0 GPA. In 1963 there was a plaque with about 20 names on it. By the time you got to 2009, there were about 10 plaques full of names just for that graduating class. The implied question is are students getting that much smarter, or have the standards been lowered to accept more admissions and thus more money for the school?
