Well how about that! I guess I don't know the date I was hired or how old the 747s are. You know what? I don't know when I was hired at Flight Options either. Or the day I got my CFI, or my first solo, or my ATP for that matter. I guess important dates like birthdays and anniversaries are the only ones worth remembering to me.

It's a good thing I'm not trying to get over on another pilot and make up for lost career expectations by throwing around my date of hire. The only thing that matters to me is what percent seniority I am within my bes for monthly bidding and vacation, and what percent system seniority I am for bes seat bids. The seat I was holding on 10/01/10 is irrelevant, only my seniority on the active list. But hey, you guys know your date of hire, so there's that...

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I will accept whatever decision three professional arbitrators come up with so we can move forward. Will you?
