Don't count on 16 months. Most regionals are hiring. Don't limit yourself to just TSA and Republic. FWIW I was told I'd be on reserve for 6 months and upgrade in 2 years. Well 2 years later I'm still on reserve. Recruiters just tell you what you want to hear.
