If we can ever take advantage of the product cycle of these ipads instead of using 3-5 year old technology we can certainly make things easier. I do not put all the blame on the airline--the FAA and governing bodies have to allow us to use same legally. But seriously...even the JEPP app when I did have it was light years faster than the EFB. Hopefully its just a matter of time until it can become "primary" with the EFB as a "backup".
Albie, do you know if Foreflight is allowed on the company iPad? How much do you pay per year for that app? (I've seen great results with its decoding and simplification of NOTAMs -- it will scrub and decode NOTAMs to only show the ones that are in effect for ETA).
