I haven't seen anything from the company that say this is the case. In fact, the bid came out last week to close 2 of the domiciles in the northeast. This is just the begining of pilots being displaced. We just closed a base for the 1900 in NY and are closing another in NM next month. All said in a couple months we will be about 6 domiciles shorter which means every base is getting more senior.
If the talk about Air Midwest being sold comes true then there will be MAJOR displacements as their are some pretty senior guys sitting on the 1900 that will NOT go to a jet. So this only leaves the dash. It would place about 150 more pilots into the Mesa/Freedom ranks and cause major displacements. I think their is truly some merit to this rumor this time. We sold 2 airplanes to Big Sky two weeks ago and are supposedly accepting bids on our hanger in JLN which has two more aircraft based there.
The Air Midwest pilot group has not been allowed into open enrolment for insurance for some reason...company won't say. We have also been CNXing flight due to lack of crews on the 1900 yet Mesa sent word they aren't handling hiring anymore for Air Midwest....Then when we tried to hire some guys they stoped the class date and said no more new hires indefinately...So their is actually a hiring pool now at Air Midwest...I know stop laughing

.
Anyway, there is a lot of wierd stuff going down right now.
