Deuce--I was the expert when I went through the process about the same time you did. However, I have not kept up woth the ever changing rules. If you want off of AD now is the time though. There are different paths to the same goal. The MPF folks are not the ones you need to talk to. Contact the higher ups at AFPC directly. CMSgt Susan Allick (sp) at AFPC gave me the straight scoop which contradicted everything the illeterate SSgt at the MPF told me.
Shack. For all of you potential PCer's, Chief Allick is THE authority and is extremely knowledgeable. There are some others in her office (McMillan, I think, for one) who are just as helpful. Once you have the info from her or her staff, you can then direct your MPF people on exactly how and what to do to get your stuff approved. It also helps to talk to the inhouse reserve/guard recruiter early and often throughout the process.
